My mom has a recipe for peanut butter squares that I could not find tonight.
Thanks to Pinterest, I had a recipe saved!
And here's the one from Pinterest....
I changed up the recipe, though, so it was more like what I have made in the past.
I doubled the amount of vanilla, peanut butter, and powdered sugar and laid the mixture in a 9x13 pan.
After that, I microwaved only one cup of chocolate chips (First for 30 seconds, stir, then for about 23 more seconds - just check with your microwave because they can easily start burning).
THEN
I poured the melted chocolate all over the peanut butter
and now it's chilling in my freezer.
Well...
Here's a more unsuccessful story:
I think trying to make them differently than these Pinterest squares does not work so well.
I am going to have to keep hunting for Mom's recipe. I think I was supposed to add graham cracker crumbs to the peanut butter. The squares should be able to come out of the pan more easily than the ones in my freezer do - you have to scoop out the peanut butter as if it was straight from the jar!

DON'T DO WHAT I DID
Any advice? Do you know the recipe I'm talking about?
